About the Role
Own and drive the Cloud cost base and associated programmes, representing approximately £300m of annual spend. Partner with the Engineering CIO team to establish operating rhythm, identify optimisation opportunities, and support strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Key business partner to Cloud CIO and several divisionally-aligned Engineering CIOs
- Challenges and makes recommendations with respect to performance against budget, budget setting and financial viability of divisional initiatives
- Identifies optimisation opportunities, working closely with the Fin Ops team
- Understands the dynamics of Run and Change, flexing workforce management to accommodate temporary program requirements
- Delivers on Opex and Capex Targets
- Drives multi-year strategic cost direction between Cloud and On-Premise
- Acts as the financial representative on the Cloud Board
- Works with external vendors and supports commercials upon renewals
Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional qualification
- Extensive Finance experience with some tenure looking after a Cloud cost base
- Self-starter with a history of providing strategic thought leadership, partnering, and influencing senior partners
- Significant work experience in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organisation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build broad networks
- Ability to influence others and deliver outcomes and change through other people
