About the Role

Serve as a trusted valuation advisor to lending and investment teams on new originations, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. Perform in-house valuations and portfolio analyses to support financial reporting, asset management, and investment decision-making. Lead the engagement, review, and quality control of third-party appraisal assignments. Maintain valuation databases and develop portfolio-level analytics and market insights. Conduct property inspections and update collateral valuations across a $60 billion commercial mortgage portfolio. Independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex valuation and appraisal challenges. Travel periodically to inspect assets and gain firsthand market intelligence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial real estate valuation and appraisal experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise.
  • NY State Certified General Appraiser designation and/or progress toward an Appraisal Institute designation.
  • Strong valuation expertise across major property types and geographic markets.
  • Solid understanding of real estate finance, investments, and market fundamentals.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate large datasets into actionable insights.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
