About the Role
Our Finance team is growing, and we are seeking a Management Accountant in London to support our expanding operations. This role is crucial for managing increasing complexity due to a recent acquisition and growth across multiple legal entities. You will be responsible for recurring reporting and reconciliations, transforming financial data into actionable insights, and enabling the Financial Controller to focus on strategic priorities. Within a year, you are expected to independently manage core month-end processes and serve as the go-to person for financial data.
Responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts and month-end reporting across all Quantum entities.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and assigned recurring reporting end-to-end.
- Investigate variances, identify root causes, and resolve discrepancies, providing actionable analysis.
- Build and improve reporting, reconciliation, and control processes, including automation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow activities.
- Contribute to strategic finance initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for finance queries and analysis.
- Take ownership of core responsibilities to reduce key person dependency.
Requirements
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) preferred, or part-qualified/qualified by experience with solid management accounting experience.
- Experience preparing management accounts, running month-end, and owning balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong analytical skills to investigate variances, find root causes, and resolve discrepancies.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at pace with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team player comfortable contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A desire to learn, grow, and support others.
- Multi-entity accounting experience.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and working capital.
- Background in digital marketing, technology, SaaS, or a high-growth environment is a plus.
- Track record of process improvement or finance automation is a plus.
- Exposure to project appraisal, business cases, investment analysis, and software development capitalization principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with Xero, Tableau, Google Workspace, G-Accon, and AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) is a plus.
