About the Role

This is a founding-team product engineering role at a Berlin-based, pre-seed AI-native fintech startup. You will design and build the operational interfaces through which private-market teams interact with AI agents, including review screens, exception-handling flows, and approval workflows. You will have direct influence over product direction, architecture, and UX patterns, ensuring AI agent output is trustworthy and actionable.

Responsibilities

Develop and own the company's design system and shared UX patterns across the product.
Build purpose-built product interfaces that connect operations teams to AI agents and underlying data sources.
Implement human-in-the-loop flows for reviewing, approving, and acting on AI agent outputs.
Design and build exception-handling and review screens within complex operational contexts.
Conduct user research with operations teams to identify pain points and validate design decisions.
Collaborate closely with co-founders and cross-functional teammates.

Requirements

Proficiency in modern frontend development with React and TypeScript.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing design systems and reusable UI component libraries.
Hands-on experience building human-in-the-loop UX for AI/ML workflows.
Ability to design and build review and exception-handling flows within complex, data-dense operational interfaces.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
1–7 years of relevant product engineering experience.
Eligible to work in Germany without employer sponsorship.
