About the Role

This role focuses on shaping and scaling Microsoft’s critical Copilot experiences across productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You will lead a team responsible for the inbound strategy, product narrative, and go-to-market motions for M365 Copilot, ensuring alignment with customer needs and delivering durable value. The role involves close collaboration with product management, engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to influence product roadmaps and drive launch excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the inbound product marketing strategy for Copilot in M365 productivity apps.
  • Shape how customers discover, adopt, and build lasting habits with Copilot.
  • Ensure alignment with broader Microsoft 365 and Microsoft AI strategies and business goals.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of product marketers.
  • Set clear direction and priorities, coaching for impact, and raising the bar on strategic thinking, execution, and cross-functional influence.
  • Shape product direction from early concept through scaled adoption.
  • Synthesize market, customer, and competitive insights to influence roadmaps, ensure product-market fit, and deliver differentiated customer value.
  • Craft clear value propositions, positioning, and compelling narratives for Copilot in productivity apps.
  • Operate as a connector and facilitator, coordinating across product management, engineering, design/UX, business planning, finance, sales, and marketing.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior product leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing and enablement assets across channels.
  • Serve as a voice of innovation to the field, translating product vision into practical guidance for sales and customer success teams.
  • Collaborate closely with PR/communications, analyst relations, and design/UX teams to represent the Copilot experience portfolio.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in product marketing, product management, business development, or related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in product marketing, product management, business development, or related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in product marketing, product management, business development, or related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 15+ years experience in product marketing, product management, business development, or related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years people management experience.
  • Extensive experience leading cross-functional new product or incubation programs in technology, with a track record of taking products from early concept through launch and early adoption.
  • Experience influencing without authority.
  • Experience creating comprehensive go-to-market and launch strategies, including positioning, messaging, field enablement, and demand generation.
  • Experience working with AI-driven products and agentic architectures, particularly within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to influence product roadmaps and bring innovative solutions to market.
  • Experience representing products in analyst briefings, press interviews, industry events, and customer meetings.

  • USD $155,800 - $277,200 per year (U.S. typical base pay)
  • USD $202,400 - $303,600 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)
