About the Role
This highly visible role involves leading negotiations and execution of easements, encroachments, and licenses, serving as the LCRA representative to landowners. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to gather information, secure property rights, and prepare board-ready materials, offering opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Notify landowners in writing of upcoming LCRA project activity and property access needs.
- Address landowner concerns by interpreting LCRA easement rights and coordinating with the transmission line team.
- Negotiate solutions with landowners regarding miscellaneous requests, such as LCRA assistance with building a road or moving a transmission line.
- Lead negotiations for real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, leases, and easements.
- Research and resolve title issues to support smooth closings.
- Review documents and prepare contracts and agreements for the acquisition or disposal of easements for LCRA-owned property.
- Utilize GIS tools for mapping support and to ensure accurate, accessible real estate data.
Requirements
- Six or more years of experience in real estate negotiations, appraisal, land acquisition, title research, landowner relations, contract negotiation, utility infrastructure project coordination, or other relevant experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
