About the Role

The Coordinator supports the Director and Manager of Student Programs and Legal Recruitment in all operations of the Student Program by executing day-to-day activities, maintaining program data and materials, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across employment relations, recruiting, development, events, and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Execute student program operations, including key program activities, tracking deliverables, identifying operational issues, and contributing recommendations that support department and Firm objectives.
  • Complete end-to-end employment relation processes for students, including onboarding/offboarding, licensing procedures, performance management, secondments, life events, and the application of Firm policies, while escalating complex matters.
  • Administer student rotation planning.
  • Support the student recruitment process, including assisting with recruitment activities, process requirements, maintaining accurate firm and candidate information, and contributing to initiatives that support the Firm’s student talent objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date templates, precedents, protocols, and checklists.
  • Provide additional support for new projects as needed.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • At least one year of related coordination experience in a professional services environment, preferably a law firm.
  • Completion of CHRP/CHRL designation is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
  • Background and reference checks, including a criminal record check, credit check, and employment and educational verifications, are conditional for any offer of employment.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, including communication and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a team setting.
  • Significantly developed organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and ability to balance multiple demands and priorities.
  • Client service oriented with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, viDesktop, UKG, and AI tools.
