About the Role

Gibson Dunn, a leading global law firm, seeks a Litigation Paralegal Supervisor to oversee litigation paralegal staff across California offices, ensuring quality service and support to attorneys and partners. This role champions AI adoption and mentors the team on AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a department of 19+ litigation paralegals across California offices.
• Act as a liaison between attorneys/partners and paralegals, ensuring project completion.
• Coordinate workflow with Paralegal Services Manager and Litigation Paralegal Workflow Coordinators for equitable assignment distribution.
• Guide litigation paralegals in maintaining appropriate workloads and monitor work quality.
• Monitor billable hour requirements for all litigation paralegals.
• Track, review, and approve time and attendance for all litigation paralegals.
• Identify staffing needs for the litigation team and assist with recruitment.
• Assist with the design and implementation of paralegal training and department procedures.
• Ensure successful onboarding and training for new joiners.
• Provide litigation support and ensure projects and timelines are met, as needed.
• Participate in mid-year and year-end performance evaluations for litigation paralegals.
• Conduct meetings with the litigation paralegal team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Champion adoption of firm-approved AI tools within the litigation paralegal team.
• Mentor and train litigation paralegals on AI-enabled workflows, including prompt engineering and quality control.
• Evaluate AI tools and pilot workflows in partnership with attorneys.
• Partner with the Gibson Dunn AI Institute, Knowledge Management, and Legal Technology to implement AI-driven improvements.
• Monitor AI tool usage and outcomes across the team.
