About the Role

The Clinical Informatics Educator is responsible for the development, implementation, optimization, and support of the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for Home Care and Hospice. This role provides EPIC orientation, training, and ongoing support to clinical staff, evaluates system functionality and workflows, recommends improvements, and serves as a frontline resource for end-user support. The Clinical Informatics Educator collaborates with clinical, operational, and IT teams to enhance documentation practices, improve user adoption, and support quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, optimize, and support the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for Home Care and Hospice.
  • Provide EPIC orientation, training, and ongoing support to clinical staff.
  • Evaluate system functionality and workflows.
  • Recommend improvements to the EMR system.
  • Serve as a frontline resource for end-user support.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to enhance documentation practices.
  • Improve user adoption of the EMR system.
  • Support quality patient care through EMR system utilization.

Requirements

  • Current clinical license and registration in NYS as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Ability to interpret statistical data.
  • Ability to conduct in-service training.
  • Ability to educate large groups of people.

Skills

  • Advanced Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
