About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for systems powering Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL.
• Act as a key developer on our DBT project, creating modular, tested, and documented data models using SQL and Jinja.
• Transform data within the data warehouse to create clean, well-structured datasets for reporting, analysis, and machine learning.
• Implement and champion data quality, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
• Build quality assurance checks, document data processes, and ensure observability for anomaly detection.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
• Act as a key thought partner to the business, helping to define product features based on data knowledge.
• Use software engineering best practices such as version control (Git), modularity, and CI/CD principles.
• Investigate and resolve data-related issues, proactively identifying patterns and trends to prevent future problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in developing big data pipelines, data warehouses, and/or software engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience working with multiple cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong in Dimensional Modeling concepts applying Kimball techniques.
• Experience with version control (Git), modularity, and CI/CD principles.
