About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Demand Planner to join our growing Supply Chain organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and improving demand forecasts that support business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to create accurate demand plans and drive alignment throughout the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys analyzing data, influencing business decisions, and taking ownership of forecast performance in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts using historical trends, statistical analysis, and business intelligence.
- Consolidate commercial inputs into a comprehensive demand plan that supports revenue objectives and operational planning.
- Identify forecast risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor market trends, customer demand patterns, and business drivers to support planning decisions.
- Partner with Supply Chain teams to ensure demand plans are translated into effective inventory, production, and supply strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders to validate assumptions and build consensus forecasts.
- Participate in S&OP meetings by presenting demand trends, forecast performance, and key business insights.
- Serve as a trusted business partner and subject matter resource for demand planning activities within your assigned portfolio.
- Utilize SAP demand planning solutions and related planning tools to manage forecasting activities.
- Analyze multiple demand scenarios and provide recommendations that support business decision-making.
- Maintain data integrity and master data accuracy within planning systems.
- Develop and distribute reporting, dashboards, and KPI metrics related to forecast performance.
- Perform root-cause analyses of forecast variances and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning effectiveness and business performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, inventory planning, or a similar analytical role.
- Experience working with SAP planning solutions (IBP, APO, ERP, or comparable systems).
- Experience participating in S&OP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or related planning processes.
- Data-driven and highly analytical.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions and recommending improvements.
- Collaborative and effective in cross-functional environments.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
