About the Role
The Customer Development Manager FMS position is responsible for managing assigned accounts, educating customers on additional Ryder services, and utilizing the Ryder Sales Process to drive interest and growth.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and consistent contact with customers to meet requirements.
- Develop and implement a sales penetration plan.
- Segment account base by opportunity for growth and potential risk.
- Present Ryder services and capabilities to customers.
- Develop relationships with all customer buying influences.
- Gain a complete understanding of customers' businesses, goals, and objectives.
- Collaborate with RIL to identify and develop opportunities for service application.
- Serve as a facilitator between customers and Ryder departments or vendors.
- Ensure contracted services are delivered to customers.
- Orchestrate the development of productive working relationships with customers.
- Maintain appropriate customer contact and manage customer satisfaction perception.
- Conduct regularly scheduled customer reviews and monitor CSI results.
- Develop a knowledge base of competitive alternatives.
- Contribute to the effective transition of sold accounts.
- Proactively anticipate problems through continuous dialogue with customers and Ryder staff.
- Supply customers with information regarding operational performance.
- Learn customers' businesses and operations.
- Engage in training and improvement of sales skills, industry knowledge, and personal growth needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Marketing, Transportation or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) or more years of demonstrated consecutive sales and customer relationship management experience in prior sales responsibilities required.

- $68,000
- $80,000
