About the Role

Dandelion Chocolate is seeking a seasoned manager to run their brick-and-mortar shop at the 16th Street Factory location. This role involves overseeing and developing a team, enhancing guest experiences, and sharing the Dandelion story and bean-to-bar chocolate knowledge. The position requires a passion for connecting guests with quality, handmade products and producing measurable results within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to understand annual goals and set a compelling vision that inspires the team.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and foster a 5-6 person team that values excellence.
  • Complete quarterly check-ins, annual reviews, and provide timely feedback.
  • Develop a bench of leadership ready for future growth opportunities.
  • Develop checklists, SOPs, and research tools to ensure merchandise is in stock, the workspace is clean, and orders are timely and accurate.
  • Proactively develop ideas to improve retail displays, experiment with menu items, and develop more authentic visitor experiences.
  • Develop authentic rapport and working relationships with other managers, neighbors, and office management.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze sales data.
  • Report quarterly goals and projects to the company, Director, VP, and CEO.
  • Ensure the space is operating at its best with humming equipment, well-lit spaces, up-to-date menus, and well-maintained infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate small groups of people.
  • Technical know-how including Google Docs, spreadsheets, and bookkeeping tools for tracking purchases, inventory, and cash reports.
  • Phenomenal soft people skills to ensure guests feel heard and understood.
  • Proven ability to connect bigger company goals to team performance using measurable metrics.
  • Agility to think quickly on your feet and deal with daily surprises.
  • Two years minimum management experience in a food service or service-related establishment.
