About the Role

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will create a fun, safe environment for children aged 2-5, fostering their confidence and independence through a structured daily schedule. You will guide children in small group instruction, enhancing their ability to learn new content and understand complex information.

Responsibilities

  • Help children learn about language and literacy, science, life skills, and more.
  • Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum.
  • Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them.
  • Classrooms come fully stocked with everything you need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
  • Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate or study plan eligible.
  • 2 years of classroom teaching experience required.
  • CPR / First Aid certified required.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children in childcare, daycare, or preschool setting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
