About the Role
Responsible for placing search work with commercial vendors, reviewing purchase agreements, tracking orders, and opening and reviewing title orders to advance to a Title Examiner. Ensures all duties are performed in accordance with company policies, state and federal laws.
Responsibilities
- Review order files and identify/request necessary documents.
- Track and manage documents, including recorded documents and trailing documents post-close.
- Prepare wires, Closing Disclosures, and record documents.
- Meet deadlines independently while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Verify liens, update lien releases/taxes, and other required information.
- Correspond with lenders, borrowers, and other entities as directed.
- Review owner/loan policies for accuracy and escrow letter requirements before distribution.
- Organize and audit files after closing for return of recorded documents, excess funds, and follow-up for release documents.
- Prepare ALTA Settlement Statements and wire funds.
- Review, prepare recording fee calculations, and record courtesy document packages.
- Assist in resolving issues related to orders, closings, and funding with minimal assistance.
- Cross-train with Team Lead to build relationships and skill sets for departmental efficiencies and serve as back-up.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in the Mortgage industry.
- Mortgage title experience preferred.
- Ramquest production system knowledge preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Powerpoint.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Salary/Compensations
- $23.08/hr - $36.30/hr
