About the Role
Manhattan Gastroenterology / Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center is seeking an experienced, data-driven Surgical & Clinical Access Manager to oversee and optimize clinical and surgical scheduling across the practice and ambulatory surgical center.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical and surgical scheduling, provider templates, and surgical blocks.
- Maximize provider, appointment, procedure, and operating room utilization.
- Monitor cancellations, no-shows, backfill opportunities, waitlists, and schedule capacity.
- Identify scheduling gaps, access barriers, and opportunities to improve patient conversion.
- Develop and monitor scheduling KPIs, reports, and performance dashboards.
- Lead and support scheduling staff, including training, workflow management, and accountability.
- Partner with physicians, clinical teams, front desk, AfterCare, billing, and administration to improve patient access and operational efficiency.
- Identify workflow issues and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce unused capacity.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of healthcare scheduling, patient access, surgical scheduling, or clinical operations experience.
- Leadership or management experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with EHR and scheduling systems required; eClinicalWorks experience preferred.
