About the Role

The Production Supervisor is a hands-on team lead who guides and manages manufacturing activities to meet or exceed customer expectations and achieve facility and company goals. This role reports directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Supervise production associates, including training, setting expectations, daily objectives, and holding team members accountable.
  • Plan, organize, direct, delegate, and engage in all production activities.
  • Ensure all transactions are kept current, recorded accurately, processed efficiently, and expedited where appropriate.
  • Perform basic operations within the company operating system, including transactions for transfer entries and work order entry/modification.
  • Establish production schedules and assign jobs to production associates.
  • Provide technical/service support to account management, service center management, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with physical inventory.
  • Assemble, test, inspect, identify, and package resale products.
  • Ensure the proper operation and repair of production equipment.
  • Perform or direct receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Perform or direct all tests as required by the customer and per company work instruction.
  • Supervise quality control and ensure required quality-related documentation is maintained.
  • Make recommendations to management regarding product and process improvements.
  • Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Comply with the employee handbook and company policies.
  • Ensure team members provide first-class service and maintain a professional manner.
  • Motivate, coach, and mentor team members to achieve results in a team-oriented culture.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other duties as trained and qualified for.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to safely drive a Company truck or other mechanical equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in production.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to work overtime, as required.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
  • Background checks and drug screening may be required.
  • Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs independently on a repeated basis.
  • Ability to move freely throughout the job site, including on occasional uneven surfaces, for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work at varying work-surface levels and machine operation heights.
  • Ability to move above or below workstations or retrieve items from various heights.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders or stairs, as required.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, inventory sheets, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to count, measure, and record data accurately.
  • Ability to respond to safety signals, alarms, and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to inspect products and materials to detect imperfections, defects, or irregularities and ensure quality and compliance.
  • Ability to properly and safely use mechanical equipment and tools, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Ability to enter and exit a service vehicle and other mechanical equipment multiple times per day.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
