About the Role

Surefox North America Inc. is seeking an experienced full-time Armed Incident Commander with high integrity and professionalism to join our team in the Bay Area. This role involves working on unique projects under the guidance of Shift Supervisors and Area Managers for top Silicon Valley clients, acting as a liaison between Surefox and clients while providing deterrence and emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures and all state & federal regulations.
  • Provide medical & non-medical response.
  • Handle staffing and client requests in a timely manner.
  • Initiate preliminary investigations and write incident reports on internal client and company issues.
  • Monitor camera feeds, Video Management Systems (VMS), and Access Control Systems (ACS) to identify and neutralize threats.
  • Conduct ongoing site risk assessments and funnel actionable intelligence to leadership.
  • Maintain "eyes on the ground" for incident verification, implementing specialized physical protocols.
  • Act as the primary dispatcher and communication hub between the GSOC and physical response teams during critical incidents.
  • Deliver advanced detection capabilities by merging digital alarm monitoring with physical security patrols.
  • Oversee badge printing, credentialing, and technical security integrators to ensure perimeter integrity.
  • Conduct incident reports on accidents, suspicious activities, and system vulnerabilities.
  • Provide low-profile physical security for assigned clients, promoting safety and discretion.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness, a professional personal appearance, and a thorough understanding of today’s security technology.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for clients and guests.
  • Maintain order while enforcing regulations, directives, and policies.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service and information to clients' employees, customers, guests, and vendors.
  • Serve as a physical deterrent.
  • Develop relationships with clients and facilitate collaboration.
  • Influence informally across different departments within the team.
  • Track and report on program performance and compliance requirements.
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot while monitoring access.
  • Watch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations.
  • Contact the police or fire department during emergencies.
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activities.
  • Provide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients.
  • Attend project meetings upon request to assess security implications of proposed changes.
  • Work independently and adapt to various work-paces while maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old per state licensing guidelines.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
  • Must live within driving distance of the primary work location.
  • Must have at least 5+ years of physical security experience.
  • Must have a current BSIS Guard Card (or be eligible to qualify).
  • Must have a current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (or be eligible to qualify for an exposed carry permit).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergency situations with good judgment and timely, sound decision-making.
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team member.
  • All applicants must be able to pass the Surefox Physical Agility Test (SPAT), with or without reasonable accommodation, prior to the scheduled start date.
  • CPR / First Aid / AED certification for all ages is required.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Demonstrated operational understanding of today’s security technology across all platforms.
  • Well maintained firearm (must be the same caliber listed on the permit).
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Prior Military or Law Enforcement (ODO) experience is highly prioritized.
  • Experience with Executive Protection, anti-terrorism protocols, or high-threat driving.
  • Experience with overseas protection assignments and international travel logistics.
  • Security or law enforcement related experience preferred.
  • Military background is a plus.
  • Report writing experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Training is preferred.
