About the Role
The Pricing Specialist/ Senior Pricing Specialist supports business growth and client retention through financial analysis, pricing recommendations, and profitability assessments. This role collaborates with various departments to evaluate new business opportunities, support existing clients, and provide insights for informed business decisions. The successful candidate will use analytical tools and financial models to assess pricing scenarios, analyze business risks, and support pricing strategies for US Retirement products.
Responsibilities
- Support pricing activities for new business opportunities, repricing initiatives, and client retention efforts.
- Perform financial, profitability, and risk analyses to support pricing recommendations.
- Analyze pricing scenarios and model outputs to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Evaluate client and plan profitability to support pricing recommendations and business decision-making.
- Analyze large and complex datasets using pricing models, reporting tools, and financial analyses.
- Develop reporting and analytical insights that support business decision-making.
- Support the maintenance, enhancement, and validation of pricing models, assumptions, and analytical tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and data quality.
- Collaborate with Sales, Strategic Relationship Management, Finance, Product, Actuarial, and Operations teams.
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support stakeholder requests and provide analytical guidance on pricing-related matters.
- Participate in projects and initiatives impacting pricing processes, models, and business strategy.
- Support process improvement initiatives and development of analytical tools and reporting capabilities.
- Promote innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, actuarial analysis, investment analysis, underwriting, consulting, business analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build effective working relationships.
