About the Role

Our iOS mobile team is building video creation and editing experiences for storytellers. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead iOS development, define product strategy, and establish modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, grow, and support a team of senior iOS engineers.
  • Build creative, user-facing features from design through production.
  • Set technical and quality standards for the iOS organization, ensuring architectural coherence, maintainability, and performance.
  • Coach engineers on effective use of AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development while maintaining rigorous standards.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to shape product strategy, bringing a clear technical and UX perspective.
  • Guide the team in making thoughtful scope and priority decisions, balancing user impact, velocity, and long-term technical health.
  • Create a safe-to-experiment environment, validating assumptions early and learning from user feedback.
  • Develop talent through regular feedback, mentorship, and career growth conversations.
  • Represent the iOS team in org-level planning, advocating for investment, technical excellence, and a user-centered approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping Apple applications, with significant time delivering complex, production-scale iOS products.
  • Experience managing and growing teams of senior engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development.
  • Technical fluency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and the iOS SDK, with the ability to review, guide, and influence architectural decisions.
  • Product instincts and UX sensibility, including familiarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines and a keen eye for interaction quality.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and helping teams move from unclear problem statements to crisp execution plans.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools at a team level, including setting expectations, workflows, and guardrails for AI-generated output.
  • Clear, compelling communication skills to translate between technical, product, and design perspectives.
  • Understanding of mobile video editing workflows or the curiosity and drive to develop this understanding quickly.
