About the Role
CIBC is seeking an Associate, Global Markets, to analyze commodities market risk and optimize risk-adjusted revenue. This role involves communicating trade ideas and hedging solutions to the sales desk to support the client franchise and providing timely, accurate pricing to clients.
Responsibilities
- Analyze commodities market risk and optimize risk-adjusted revenue.
- Communicate trade ideas and hedging solutions to the sales desk to support the client franchise.
- Provide timely and accurate pricing to clients to meet market goals.
- Utilize programming languages, such as Python and VBA, to develop trading strategies, automate processes, and perform market analysis.
- Conduct fundamental analysis and regression modeling to build forecasting models.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3 years of experience with preparing quantitative analyses of market risks using Excel and VBA.
- 3 years of experience using Python to create trading strategies, automate processes, and perform market analysis.
- 3 years of experience preparing daily management updates and performance reports for commodities financial markets.
- 3 years of experience using automated systems to support finance teams’ operational needs.
- 3 years of experience reviewing SQL queries to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location.
- May be asked to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests.
