About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and reflective Toddler Teacher to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate values play as the foundation for learning, sees each child as capable and curious, and fosters social-emotional development through meaningful interactions and responsive care.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where children feel respected, supported, and empowered.
- Plan and implement child-led, play-based experiences that promote exploration, problem-solving, creativity, and independence.
- Support the whole child by integrating social-emotional learning into daily routines and play.
- Observe, document, and reflect on children’s development to inform curriculum planning and family communication.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to design engaging, responsive learning experiences that follow children’s interests.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families through open communication and partnership.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to maintaining NAEYC accreditation standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Experience working with toddlers in an early childhood or play-based setting.
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, social-emotional learning, and child-led education.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and reflective teaching practices.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
