About the Role
The Event Sales Manager will own private event and group sales across all 14 Future Bars Group locations. This revenue-generating, client-facing role involves prospecting, closing new business, managing sales pipelines, negotiating contracts, and ensuring flawless event execution. The role also contributes to building scalable event sales systems, pricing, and packages.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle for private events across 14 venues, from lead generation and inbound inquiries through proposal, contract, deposit, signed booking, and BEO.
- Build and manage a pipeline of corporate, social, and private clients.
- Develop and maintain event packages, pricing tiers, and minimums tailored to each venue.
- Conduct site visits and walkthroughs, matching client needs to the right venue.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, BEOs, and cancellation terms.
- Build a network of preferred caterers.
- Partner closely with General Managers, event staff, and catering teams to ensure smooth day-of execution.
- Track pipeline, bookings, and revenue in a CRM; report on sales performance, conversion rates, and forecasted revenue.
- Build outbound relationships with corporate accounts, event planners, and local organizations to drive repeat and referral business.
- Manage seasonal push periods with dedicated campaigns and proactive outreach.
- Work with the operations team to ensure training resources remain current and effective.
- Collaborate with marketing on event-specific promotions, venue collateral, and website content.
- Monitor competitor venues and market pricing to keep packages competitive.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of experience in event sales, catering sales, or venue sales, ideally across multiple locations in hospitality.
- Demonstrated extreme attention to detail.
- Proven track-record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience negotiating and administering vendor or commission-based partnerships.
- Polished, professional, and detail-oriented written and verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of event contracts, deposits, beverage minimums, and cancellation policies.
- Availability and willingness to travel regularly to venues for site visits, client meetings, and events on evenings and weekends.
