About the Role

Execute the timely purchase and receipt of materials using MRP data and customer information. Identify cost savings opportunities, manage inventory levels, and oversee the purchasing process from order entry to material release.

Responsibilities

• Procure and release materials in a timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate ERP Item and Supplier Master Data, including lead times, wait times, contact information, and MOQs.
• Manage all issues related to procured items, such as rejects, returns, pricing, and freight claims.
• Recommend items for disposition due to inactivity or expiration.
• Expedite material receipts to accommodate schedule changes.
• Assist the Costing Department in obtaining material cost quotes.
• Maintain item pricing and supplier files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience using MRP in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiation.
• Demonstrated MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
