About the Role
Ensure the successful production and delivery of high-quality Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) from a strategic supplier. Monitor production activities, oversee quality compliance, identify manufacturing risks, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery meeting all technical and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production planning and execution against agreed schedules and priorities.
- Track manufacturing progress and identify production constraints, material shortages, and capacity risks.
- Follow up on recovery plans and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Escalate issues that could impact production schedules or customer deliveries.
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, approved manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
- Ensure effective management of non-conforming products, rework activities, and corrective actions.
- Monitor containment actions and verify implementation of permanent corrective actions.
- Conduct regular operational reviews with supplier management.
- Monitor supplier production, delivery, and quality performance.
- Identify operational risks and drive mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Prepare weekly status reports covering production progress, delivery performance, quality concerns, risks, and action plans.
- Maintain an open action tracker and quality issue log.
- Immediately communicate any issue that could impact product quality, production continuity, or delivery commitments.
- Provide recommendations to improve supplier manufacturing performance and establish sustainable process control.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB/PCBA manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes and electronics production.
- Experience in supplier development, supplier quality engineering, manufacturing surveillance, or industrial performance improvement.
- Working knowledge of IPC standards and AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why Analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone, etc.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently at the supplier's manufacturing facility while effectively collaborating with supplier leadership and customer teams.
