About the Role
The YMCA of Broome County is seeking motivated individuals to join their wellness team. This role assists with daily operations of the wellness center, ensures a safe environment, and provides excellent customer service to members at both Binghamton and Johnson City locations.
Responsibilities
- Greet members upon arrival and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Engage, motivate, and inspire members to achieve their fitness goals
- Provide guidance and support to members during workouts, ensuring proper form and technique
- Provide fitness equipment instruction to members
- Enforce wellness center policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Opportunities for teaching group exercise classes on land or in the pool
Requirements
- Previous experience in a wellness or fitness center preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with members
- Strong knowledge of fitness principles, techniques, and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
