About the Role

Madhive is seeking an AI Code Engineering Lead to make engineering dramatically faster with AI-native practice and tooling. This role involves building and scaling an agentic coding platform where AI generates production code with engineers reviewing rather than writing it. It is a hands-on position focused on shipping acceleration tools and creating reusable building blocks for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own AI-native engineering practice, the eval harness, reusable AI building blocks, and developer tooling.
• Manage a portfolio of velocity V1s, ensuring integration into the CTO’s organization.
• Facilitate smooth handoffs to the engineering organization.
• Codify successful practices into reusable 'golden path' playbooks and feed learnings back to platform teams.

Requirements

• A builder who clears a staff-engineer bar (10+ years experience) at a strong company.
• History of shipping production code at staff scope.
• Evidence of driving adoption of at least one engineering practice or tool to org-wide scale.
• Expertise in agentic coding tools across the full SDLC.
• Experience building or running an eval harness is essential.
• Grit in ambiguous problems and curiosity about business mechanics.
• Ability to reason rigorously about how AI can inflate output and design against stability risks.
• Hands-on with evaluation-driven development, including precision/recall benchmarks, human review queues, and audit trails.
