About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse supports physicians and mid-level providers in clinical activities and direct patient care, potentially assisting with appointment scheduling for optimal patient service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice per LPN license and NYS laws and regulations.
  • Take and record patient's vital signs.
  • Prepare exam room and sterilize equipment and supplies per protocols.
  • Provide call management for physicians/providers regarding clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and other patient calls per practice protocols.
  • Prepare patient's record for visit as directed by physician/provider.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings to discuss and clarify roles, responsibilities, processes, and patient issues.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • Current NYS licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
