About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports physicians and advanced practice providers by delivering high-quality clinical care and assisting with patient flow in a busy primary care setting. This role contributes to positive patient experiences by ensuring efficient clinical operations, accurate documentation, and responsive communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in accordance with NYS LPN licensure and applicable laws and regulations
- Obtain and document vital signs, prepare examination rooms, and clean and sterilize equipment following established protocols
- Manage clinical phone calls, including prescription refills, test results, and patient inquiries, per practice guidelines
- Prepare patient records and documentation in advance of provider visits to support efficient care delivery
- Participate in scheduled team meetings to support collaboration, clarify workflows, and address patient care needs
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
- Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Minimum of 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting
- Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient medical office setting
