About the Role

The Consulting Manager position is part of a client delivery team, responsible for delivering GE HealthCare Command Center solutions. This role helps hospital systems improve financial, operational, clinical, and patient safety outcomes through advisory and technology solutions, utilizing the Command Center Software "Tiles" to optimize patient care coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Provides consulting services to Command Center customers to achieve business objectives related to patient flow, quality, and access.
  • Leads billable customer work with hospital executives and oversees project teams to deliver complex outcomes through technology implementation and process optimization.
  • Creates new thought leadership content, develops and oversees junior team members, and supports continuous improvement of work delivery, documentation, and sales processes.
  • Plans, leads, and delivers clinical command center programs of large scope and scale, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Manages program deliverables, timelines, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Uses sound judgment to make decisions and solve complex problems with client or project teams.
  • Develops and demonstrates specialized knowledge in patient flow, hospital operations, and clinical practice.
  • Serves as a resource for best practices and quality, with awareness of the latest technical developments.
  • Contributes to strategy and policy development, and product and client roadmaps.
  • Establishes credibility, develops deep client relationships, and engages with stakeholders at all levels, including executive sponsors and front-line teams.
  • Brings new perspectives on existing solutions and uses technical expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience, explains difficult or sensitive information, and works to build consensus.
  • Leverages persuasion skills to influence others within their field.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in hospital patient flow and/or access consulting serving major US health systems.
  • Significant experience in healthcare consulting and knowledge of hospital operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry and major trends in the geography where client projects are delivered.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise or certification.
  • Experience creating impactful executive client-facing communications and presentations.
  • Experience driving change using Change Management tools, LEAN, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience leading teams, delivering feedback, and coaching successfully.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to travel at least 80% (Weekly travel Monday-Thursday).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employment offer is conditioned upon successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable).
