About the Role
Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a qualified, passionate Care Coordinator to join the team at our Elmhurst clinic in Queens. Care Coordinators support patient care by making patients feel welcomed and valued while controlling the flow of appointments. They are expected to respond to all phone calls and emails within 2 hours and always within 24 hours. Care Coordinators will guide patients through the out-of-network experience and greet all patients with a smile, executing 5-star customer service. A collaborative spirit is valued to ensure everyone receives the care and support they need.
Responsibilities
- Support patient care by making patients feel welcomed and valued.
- Control the flow of appointments.
- Respond to all phone calls and emails within 2 hours and always within 24 hours.
- Guide patients through the out-of-network experience.
- Greet all patients who enter the clinic with a smile.
- Execute 5-star customer service.
- Foster a true community environment for both patients and team members.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience.
- Hospitable, welcoming, and team-oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to grow.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate office equipment and make written notations.
- Ability to use computer keyboard 90% of each workday.
- Hearing acuity to communicate over the telephone.
- Visual acuity to read information on computer screen.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally lift 10 pounds floor to waist.
- Passion for the field of hospitality and customer service.
