About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring that merchant priorities are met by driving cross-functional alignment across a portfolio of merchant growth, experience, and tooling initiatives. You will articulate, document, and advocate for NV merchant needs, ensuring they are properly sequenced and prioritized. Additionally, you will partner with Wolt and Deliveroo teams to share insights and ensure visibility across markets. This role requires translating risk into a compelling, data-grounded case for prioritization.

Responsibilities

  • Support product and engineering teams in building new self-serve capabilities for merchants from the ground up, defining requirements and ensuring clear definition and sizing.
  • Drive merchant growth priorities across teams, building and maintaining alignment on NV merchant needs for growth, retention, and relationship deepening.
  • Own the 'why it matters' narrative, framing growth investments as wins for merchants, consumers, and DoorDash, and translating merchant pain points into clear business cases.
  • Scope and accelerate net-new and under-optimized capabilities by defining requirements, identifying gaps, and building crawl/walk/run plans.
  • Act as the connective tissue across the merchant growth ecosystem, bridging the gap between merchant needs and what product, sales, support, and operations teams are building.
  • Shape how growth investments land for merchants by partnering with product and operations teams to ensure well-sequenced, well-communicated launches that create durable value.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience in strategy and operations, business or product operations, consulting, or similar cross-functional roles.
  • Ability to get things done by helping people understand why something matters, not by pushing harder.
  • Capacity to align teams with competing priorities around a shared goal and sustain that alignment over time.
  • Comfort operating where the playbook doesn't exist yet and creating clarity for teams.
  • Genuine merchant fluency, understanding how retailers, grocers, and enterprise merchants think about growth, promotions, loyalty, and platform relationships.
  • Experience in product operations: writing business cases, defining success metrics, scoping from zero, and shepherding builds from idea to launch.
  • Clear written communication skills, with a default to async documentation.
  • Ability to work with data (SQL, spreadsheet modeling) to size problems, build simple models, and track performance independently.
  • Experience using AI in professional workflows.
