Responsibilities
- Test systems and components for security and proper function.
- Isolate the cause of system or component issues.
- Test drive vehicles and perform necessary fluid level checks and refills.
- Ensure proper tire inflation and maintain fittings.
- Install oil drain plugs and filters, and communicate oil levels.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in vehicle diagnosis and repair.
- Replace worn parts to prevent vehicle breakdown or damage.
- Utilize power tools, machine tools, and hand tools for various tasks.
Requirements
- Must possess a New York State Inspection License.
- Requires a deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
- Effective analytical and communication skills are necessary, along with a willingness to improve.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications.
- Proficiency in operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a service department.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
