About the Role
The eDiscovery Analyst provides project management and technical support to the firm’s eDiscovery Team and Matter Teams utilizing eDiscovery services. This is a Firmwide, full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Deliver project management support to the eDiscovery Team and Matter Teams on matters involving eDiscovery, including monitoring deadlines, deliverables and dependencies.
- Process data, create Relativity workspaces, batch documents, create search term reports, create productions, and perform other project management functions in Relativity.
- Conduct the QC and completion of work requests.
- Maintain protocols for project onboarding and closing, post-mortem reporting, and document retention and disposition activities.
- Accurately track incoming projects and progress, and communicate regularly with matter teams.
- Develop and maintain a functional and current understanding of defensible practices and industry guidance related to eDiscovery.
- Support administrative processes related to service management including timekeeping and reporting.
- Perform other administrative tasks and supporting-role duties as assigned and/or requested by management, including assisting with team coordination, matter support, reporting, documentation, and follow-up activities.
- Learn new technologies and deploy knowledge to assist managers and matter teams outside of standard eDiscovery platforms and workflows.
- Develop and maintain a basic understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and assist with the administration, testing, and support of approved AI tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment (litigation or eDiscovery) preferred.
- Proficient in Relativity and have database management experience.
- Knowledge of case management tools such as Opus2, Everchron, or CaseMap a plus.
- Knowledge of Agility Blue a plus.
- Knowledge of common general functionality and legal AI tools a plus.
- Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) Certification a plus.
- Strong analytical and logic skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written or oral form.
- Ability to work within timelines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle a changing and growing workload.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Must be reliable, a self-starter and have a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to lift boxes of files weighing approximately 15 pounds.
- Must be able to routinely lift and carry file folders weighing up to 5-10 pounds.
- Must be able to spend long periods of time working at computer workstation.
- Must be able to lift, squat, kneel and bend.
