About the Role

Play a crucial role in the Investment Accounting team, responsible for RPIA’s fund accounting function and the development and maintenance of internal controls and processes. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, support accounting operations, and contribute to the firm's success and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily and month-end NAV packages.
  • Examine and analyze accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve price and position discrepancies.
  • Perform daily and monthly price and market value checks.
  • Prepare and review valuations, financial statements, and distributions.
  • Compile and prepare information for financial statements and other reports.
  • Execute daily wire transfers accurately.
  • Perform monthly cash planning for capital activities and expenses.
  • Collect and prepare monthly metrics reports.
  • Assist the team with various ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hedge fund accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous derivatives accounting experience.
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Experience in data analysis, interpretation and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with Advanced MS Excel skills, specifically: pivot tables, V/H-look ups, macros, what if analysis and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, controls, and reporting.
  • Salesforce CRM knowledge and coding experience is considered an asset.

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,000 – $85,000 base salary
