About the Role

The Quality Control Agent (QCA) independently verifies operational reality across offices, yards, equipment, and work zones to ensure safety, compliance, efficiency, and equipment standards are accurately executed. The role provides objective, evidence-driven intelligence for leadership decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured audits of active work zones, offices, yards, and training facilities.
  • Verify compliance with traffic control layouts, site-specific safety protocols, and company policy.
  • Evaluate training environments and retraining practices for effectiveness.
  • Identify unsafe conditions, at-risk behaviours, and deviations from required standards.
  • Escalate critical safety risks and verify corrective actions.
  • Inventory traffic control equipment, Guardian Smart Flaggers, signage, batteries, vehicles, and trailers.
  • Confirm operational readiness, preventative maintenance status, and proper storage practices.
  • Coordinate findings with Asset Management and Integration teams for deficiencies.
  • Maintain high standards of report clarity, accuracy, and objectivity.
  • Identify recurring deficiencies, systemic gaps, or process breakdowns.
  • Communicate emerging trends to Quality Control management.
  • Interface professionally with Operations, Safety, Integration, Training, Dispatch, and Asset Management teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in traffic control and field operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of traffic control setups, signage, PPE requirements, and work zone safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in field environments.
  • Proficiency with mobile technology, digital forms, and evidence-based reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel extensively.
  • Prior experience in quality control, auditing, inspection, or safety oversight roles (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Guardian Smart Flaggers or similar traffic control technology (preferred).
  • ISO 9001 internal audit exposure or continuous improvement training (preferred).
  • Experience working across multiple regions or markets (preferred).
