About the Role

The Courtyard by Marriott in Buffalo- Airport is seeking a Bistro Server for The Bistro, the on-site restaurant. The Bistro serves breakfast, dinner, beer, wine, and Starbucks® coffee.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, take orders, ring orders into the POS system, and receive payment.
• Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcohol, meeting company and brand standards. Possess full menu knowledge.
• Set up bar for service, prepare drink orders, adhere to state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly, complete closing duties, and maintain cleanliness of bar and cooler areas.
• Assist in Food and Beverage areas including bussing, cleaning, washing dishes and utensils, resetting tables, delivering food, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas, and lobby areas.

Requirements

• Previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to develop an understanding of company concepts, practices, guidelines, and procedures related to guest service is necessary.
• Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.
