Responsibilities
- Conducting routine maintenance per guidelines on returned equipment.
- Cleaning and disinfecting equipment per policy.
- Documenting cleaning and routine maintenance as defined by guidelines.
- Evaluating and recommending changes to our standard cleaning supply inventory.
- Ensuring the timeliness, quality, and prioritization of equipment cleaning and disinfecting.
- Following proper procedures to reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and complaints.
- Conducting equipment repairs (general).
- Maintaining the pressure washer and air compressor and notifying the manager in case of breakdown or need for repairs, supplies, or replacement.
- Laundering soiled rags, bags, slings, etc.
- Cleaning equipment returned to the dirty area from the previous day and stock truck run by the end of each day.
- Reporting unsafe conditions associated with returned equipment.
- Identifying contaminated equipment and adhering to the Personal Protective Equipment company policy.
- Retaining knowledge of and consistently adhering to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling.
- Filling compressed oxygen cylinders per company policy.
- Filling liquid oxygen stationeries and liquid oxygen delivery vehicle per company policy.
- Understanding the responsibilities and duties of other Materials Management Department Employees and willingly helping outside the Biomed Department with prior approval of the Biomed Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year experience in equipment repair
Skills
- Problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to clean, test and repair home medical equipment.
- Accurately receive, stock, retrieve and load equipment and supplies.
- Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and tasks
- Independent decision making
- Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Experience Level
- One (1) year experience in equipment repair
Education Level
- High School Diploma
