About the Role

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for establishing, providing, and implementing quality trauma-informed evaluation services to youth and families, consistent with the agency's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

  • Using trauma-informed practices, evaluate, counsel, and provide evaluations for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and behavioral disorders for individuals and groups.
  • Administer and interpret tests of mental abilities and aptitudes, interests, psychological status, personality, emotions, and motivation.
  • Assist treatment team members in formulating diagnoses and individualized treatment planning.
  • Provide 29i and CFTSS services according to treatment needs.
  • Develop evaluations to assist in developing skills for children/youth as defined on treatment goals.
  • Provide psychiatric supports to youth and families.
  • Interface with internal and external programs/stakeholders, including county caseworkers/representatives, for treatment planning purposes.
  • Respond to crisis situations, including de-escalating and engaging youth and family, processing incidents, and developing safety plans.
  • Partner with team members to coordinate clinical services supporting permanent and reunification planning while preparing youth for the future.
  • Provide clinical consultation, evaluate progress, and adjust clinical services as necessary.
  • Ensure all 29i Other Limited Health Services and CFTSS are delivered in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, complete, maintain, and track all mandatory appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain paperwork in accordance with regulations and auditing and billing requirements in all youth and family charts.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, including treatment team meetings, SPR, supervision, and team meetings.
  • Prepare required documentation for all meetings.
  • Represent the agency in a professional manner.
  • Participate and collaborate on pre-admission activities, engaging youth and families as early as possible.
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures; follow and support agency mission, vision, and values, including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Clinical Psychologist or Limited Permit with a supervising Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience working with vulnerable youth and families preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, outside of normal business hours including nights, weekends, and possibly on-call, as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Travel required.
  • Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.
