About the Role
Gallagher Bassett is seeking a values-led workers' compensation leader to shape the future of its NSW Nominal Insurer business. This role is ideal for someone ready to advance their leadership career, focusing on building high-performing teams, delivering technical capability, and achieving sustainable return-to-work outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a large workers' compensation operation, delivering outstanding client and customer outcomes.
- Drive performance against operational, financial, service, and quality targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organisational and customer objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation, and service enhancement.
- Partner with executive leaders to support business growth, transformation, and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and performance excellence.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of workers' compensation, claims management, and the technical levers that support sustainable recovery and return to work.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver return-to-work outcomes at scale through disciplined execution, care, collaboration, and strong operational focus.
- Track record of building high-performing, team-oriented cultures where people are clear on expectations, supported to succeed, and proud of the outcomes they deliver.
- Experience leading teams, developing future leaders, and lifting technical capability.
- Confidence to engage stakeholders, influence outcomes, and operate with credibility across the Scheme.
- Must have the right to live and work in Australia.
