About the Role

This course covers the economics of the firm in a market environment, studying business behavior and market performance as influenced by concentration, entry barriers, product differentiation, diversification, research and development, and international trade. Calculus will be used in this course.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course.
  • Prepare and deliver course content.
  • Develop, administer, and mark assignments, presentations, quizzes, tests, and exams.
  • Calculate and submit grades.
  • Hold regular office hours and maintain reasonable availability for student and administrative contact.
  • Supervise assigned T.A.s.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree required.
  • Experience teaching senior students in university.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching or presenting.
  • Mastery of the subject area.
  • Several years of related progressive professional experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience teaching a related course at UTSC with consistent, strong course evaluations (preferred).
