About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the HR team, assisting with employee lifecycle processes, compliance, leave administration, and employee inquiries. This role supports accurate and timely HR service and a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the HR Team to respond to and resolve benefit inquiries, guidance on policies, programs, and procedures.
- Support benefits administration, including employee communications, open enrollment, deductions, and maintenance of benefit records.
- Maintain accurate employee and HR databases; prepare routine and ad hoc reports as needed.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including new hire support, terminations, PTO payouts, and employment verifications.
- Process and track unemployment claims, jury duty leave, bereavement leave, tuition assistance requests, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) applications.
- Monitor and manage the HR inbox, ensuring inquiries are addressed or routed appropriately.
- Maintain HR and benefits-related SharePoint content, ensuring information, postings, and resources remain current.
- Partner with Payroll to resolve deduction discrepancies and process employee benefit changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor law posting requirements and other regulatory obligations.
- Provide backup support to HR and Employee Benefits team members and complete all required training.
- Administrative Support of Learning Management System as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of one to three years of experience in human resources.
- High school degree required.
- Administrative customer experience preferred.
- Associate degree or greater preferred.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office are required.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail are necessary.
- Clear and accurate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
