About the Role
Broadway Across America (BAA) is seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our in-house creative team on a part-time basis. The role involves designing marketing collateral for regional marketing campaigns, including emails, digital ads, print, outdoor, and social media graphics, to support hundreds of performances across North America.
Responsibilities
- Assist with concepting, designing, and/or coding marketing collateral, including email, digital display, print, outdoor, video, and social media graphics.
- Create balance between the aesthetic of the show’s key artwork and the local brand’s identity.
- Receive feedback and make necessary changes to designs.
- Prioritize and manage workload to complete projects from concept to finished piece.
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams to support local marketing initiatives with collateral and creative assets.
Requirements
- Knowledge and proficiency in HTML coding, with experience coding emails and websites.
- Knowledge and proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, with strong proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret creative briefs and HTML/CSS code.
- Ability to effectively present information to national and regional marketing team members.
- Understand and resolve conflict, creating balance between competing priorities of production and local brand identities.
- Solve layout and information design challenges within specifications.
- Create deliverables with a mind on accessibility for audiences with different physical and cognitive abilities.
- Must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship for a visa.
Skills
- Graphic design fundamentals (layouts, typography, composition, color)
- Web and mobile responsive design concepts
- Basic HTML coding
- Strong visual aesthetics
- Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Accuracy and thoroughness
- HTML5, JavaScript, WordPress, and CSS (a plus)
- Motion graphics and video editing (After Effects and Premiere Pro) (a plus)
