About the Role

CVS/Oak Street Health is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Decision Sciences team, responsible for delivering data-driven solutions to optimize their innovative care model and improve patient outcomes. This role involves working with stakeholders in a fast-paced, agile environment, leveraging cutting-edge technology to transform healthcare delivery. You will contribute to prospective study designs, ROI assessments, clinical program evaluations, and the creation of statistical analysis plans, presenting findings to diverse audiences and expanding data science capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced mathematical and statistical methods to solve business problems under the supervision of senior data scientists.
  • Execute exploratory data analysis to validate and quantify trends identified by partner organizations.
  • Develop insights, visualizations, and other data artifacts that support broader data science initiatives.
  • Wrangle and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets in a highly repeatable fashion.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience conducting statistical analysis and machine learning to answer research or business questions (1+ years if candidate has a Masters or PhD).
  • 3 years of experience in SQL and Python programming (1+ years if candidate has a Masters or PhD).
  • Demonstrated ability to decompose multi-tier problems into actionable steps.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets, analyzing data, and extracting meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical findings to diverse audiences.
