About the Role
The ANZ Senior Channel Sales Manager is responsible for driving AMD’s channel strategy and execution across Australia and New Zealand. This role owns the performance and growth of AMD’s ANZ channel ecosystem, with direct responsibility for Distributor Management and leadership of Partner Account Managers who manage AMD’s top strategic partners in Australia and New Zealand. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines strategic channel development with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Own ANZ channel revenue targets and ensure AMD Operating Plan (AOP) and associated metrics are exceeded.
- Track and optimize performance using KPIs, dashboards, and partner scorecards.
- Drive disciplined pipeline management, deal governance, and forecast accuracy.
- Lead regular business cadence with distributors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute AMD’s ANZ channel strategy, aligned with APJ objectives and global priorities, while addressing local market requirements.
- Drive sustained revenue/unit growth through effective distributor and partner engagement.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends, competitive dynamics, and new partner opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.
- Serve as the primary executive owner for AMD’s distributors in ANZ.
- Lead joint business planning, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), forecasting, and performance management with distributors.
- Ensure distributors are effectively enabling, supporting, and scaling downstream partners.
- Drive execution excellence across programs, incentives, operations, and compliance.
- Directly manage, coach, and develop Partner Account Managers responsible for AMD’s top-tier and strategic partners.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, coverage models, and accountability for partner performance.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support career development and succession planning within the partner account team.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key partners across the ANZ ecosystem.
- Oversee partner programs, incentives, and go-to-market initiatives to strengthen AMD’s channel presence.
- Partner with enablement teams to ensure partners are trained, certified, and fully prepared to represent AMD’s portfolio.
- Support partner recruitment, tier progression, and capability development as required.
- Ensure seamless channel execution for product launches, promotions, and demand-generation initiatives across ANZ.
- Collaborate with marketing on region-specific campaigns to increase partner engagement and demand creation.
- Align closely with direct sales teams to support account strategy, deal execution, and partner-led growth motions.
- Work with product and business unit leaders to accelerate adoption of AMD solutions in the market.
- Work in close partnership with Global Account Managers (GAMs) to align channel execution with OEM strategies and priorities.
- Support GAMs by ensuring the right distributors and partners are engaged, enabled, and positioned to execute against account plans.
- Collaborate closely with OEM partners to drive alignment on strategy, product adoption, and go-to-market execution in ANZ.
- Enable effective three-way collaboration between OEMs, partners, and distributors to accelerate wins and improve customer outcomes.
- Participate in joint planning, pipeline reviews, and strategic initiatives with GAMs and OEM stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development within the technology or semiconductor industry.
- Proven history managing distributors and leading partner-facing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of the ANZ market, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels, from C-suite partners to internal leadership teams.
- Ability to lead in a highly matrixed environment, driving collaboration across multiple business units.
- Experience in managing large-scale partner programs, incentive structures, and channel enablement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to navigate complex business environments and drive transformational growth.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
