About the Role
The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public areas, stocking and cleaning housekeeping storage, performing deep cleaning of hotel rooms and public areas, and moving furniture.
Responsibilities
- Clean restrooms as needed, including replenishing supplies, cleaning/sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash, and mopping floors.
- Clean public areas as needed, including removing debris, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting.
- Deliver and stock housekeeping supplies to guestroom floor storage areas and distribute clean linen.
- Clean housekeeping closets on all floors, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and trash removal.
- Return all restaurant glassware to stewarding.
- Assist room attendants with stripping linens and terry as needed.
- Report room/public space repairs to the proper department.
- Ensure guest hallways are always clean and free of debris.
- Deep clean guest rooms, lobby, hallways, and public areas as directed.
- Respond and speak clearly to guest requests in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to push carts up to 250 pounds.
