About the Role
MFC Training is seeking a Non-certifying Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentice to join their team in London, Ontario. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft and components within a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), contributing to the safety and quality of MFC's aircraft fleet.
Responsibilities
- Carry out and coordinate the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of all aircraft and aircraft components, including heavy maintenance.
- Report on issues affecting aircraft serviceability.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with MFC and Transport Canada Regulations.
- Coordinate parts requirements and ensure sufficient tools and equipment are available for maintenance and inspection.
- Administer and direct safety practices and procedures.
- Complete worksheets for work performed.
- Report unserviceable maintenance equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course or equivalent experience (e.g., ICS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AME is an asset.
- Experience on light piston aircraft is an asset.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
