About the Role
Mind Games is seeking a motivated and dynamic Store Assistant Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, coach team members, ensure operational excellence, and create an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced, playful environment.
Responsibilities
- Support daily store operations by scheduling, assigning, and following up on employee tasks.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train team members to maintain a strong and capable staff.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees, providing feedback and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
- Address performance issues as needed.
- Assist in achieving financial objectives by preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding their needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a welcoming store environment.
- Drive sales and marketing initiatives by analyzing promotions, display plans, and operating/financial reports to maximize profitability.
- Ensure the store is safe, clean, and compliant with all company policies and procedures.
- Implement and monitor loss prevention and shrink programs to protect company assets.
Requirements
- 2+ years of management experience in a specialty retail environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and building high-performing teams.
- Customer service-oriented, with in-depth knowledge of retail operations and business management processes.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and results driven.
