About the Role
Novellia is seeking a Clinical Data Manager to enhance data curation and delivery processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional experts to execute and develop end-to-end data extraction, investigate variable abstraction from unstructured EHR documents, create data curation instructions, oversee QA/QC, and support payor data integration. The position is ideal for someone comfortable with ambiguity, who can work efficiently and creatively to solve problems while maintaining quality and a client-first approach. This is a demanding role requiring focus, urgency, and deep client accountability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on building best-in-class real-world evidence solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop data curation instructions for various disease areas, including rare disease, oncology, and cardiovascular disease.
- Assist in developing and refining LLM-enabled curation methods.
- Investigate the feasibility of capturing specific data elements from unstructured EHR documents.
- Support data quality and control activities, including error correction and investigation, and developing standard operating procedures for QA/QC processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, client solutions, research scientists) to ensure data curation meets customer needs and to provide analytic guidance.
- Provide expertise for processing and harmonizing structured data points.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to align data curation and QA/QC with clinical expectations.
- Participate in customer-facing calls to present Novellia’s data curation approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in health sciences, biology, public health, a related applied science, or education as a nurse.
- Experience with clinical data and a willingness to become an expert in various therapeutic areas.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, electronic data capture forms, or other data management systems.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying clinical issues to diverse teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international environment with flexibility to adapt to ambiguity.
- Strong interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and experience applying them to data processing.
