About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for material handling, inspection of propane tanks, and the general maintenance of plant equipment which includes air compressors, propane compressors, and tank moving equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a specialized job function such as painting or testing propane cylinders
  • Complete the installing of valves and de-valving of propane tanks
  • Perform maintenance and repair on shop equipment
  • Load propane tanks on and off trailers
  • Use gas cutting equipment to remove foot rings and scrap cylinders
  • Operate tank inverters for propane evacuation

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment that weighs 100-150lbs.
  • Must be able to satisfy the English Language Proficiency qualification requirements in 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2) by responding to official inquiries and understanding highway traffic signs and signals in the English language.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
  • Background checks and drug screens are performed.
